Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu

Your unforgettable day begins bright and early with a pick-up from your accommodation and a drive to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board a train to Aguas Calientes. As you journey through the breathtaking Andean mountains and lush Amazonian cloud forest, you’ll pass by glaciers, snowy peaks, fertile green fields, and ancient Inca agricultural terraces lining both sides of the valley.

On arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll hop on a bus that takes you directly to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. A guided tour lasting about two hours will introduce you to the Citadel’s rich history and culture. Your guide will lead you through the most significant areas, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature and soak in the serene energy of this sacred place. The incredible architecture and innovation of the Incas will leave you in awe.

After the tour, you’ll have the option to climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain if you have pre-booked tickets (not included in the tour). In the afternoon, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy lunch or explore the town before heading to the train station.

Finally, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo and travel to Cusco in our private transport, arriving at your accommodation's doorstep. Arrival time will vary depending on your train schedule.
